Supporting charities and fundraising efforts is something we feel passionately about here at Nuwave. Our premises is based on the outskirts of Catterick Garrison, the largest Garrison in the country, so we were delighted to be offered the opportunity to assist with the fundraising for a charity so close to our hearts and the hearts of our local community, Help for Heroes.
Justin Henderson, an Army Veteran from York, is raising funds for Help for Heroes, a wonderful charity that supports injured servicemen and women and their families by taking part in the Big Battlefield Bike Ride next year. A ride of 350 miles in 5 days! To help fundraise for this event Justin will be at Tesco in Catterick Garrison on the 23rd December with his bike. Justin was stationed in Germany in 2012 and injured in a freak accident that left him with a broken back and in a wheelchair with restricted mobility, he now manages to walk with a stick. We were asked to create a roller banner to help draw attention to his fundraising efforts.
We created a banner that not only highlights the cause, Help for Heroes, but also perfectly illustrates Justin’s recovery journey. From images of Justin’s x-ray and from his hospital bed, to the inspiring photos of Justin taking part in his first ever Big Battlefield Bike Ride event on his recumbent trike.
Justin will start at 6am and finish up 18 hours later at midnight all as part of his fundraising effort! All proceeds for this are going to a truly fantastic cause so we hope you will all join us in wishing Justin luck with this big bike ride next year.
